For the love of a rose…
The Rose Room at Jambo Guest House gets its name from the rose garden that was once in front of its window. The Rose Garden has become what is fondly referred to as “The Jungle”, and has a bench under the frangipani tree where you can sit and read a book, or simply relax.
The room has recently been renovated and now has more contemporary décor with interesting touches of African hardwoods. The room is large with beautiful blinds covering the windows, and several ceiling and wall lights create a warm and happy ambience.
The Rose Room has two single beds which can be pushed together to create a king-sized bed. The bedside wall mounted light fittings, which Barry and Mina found at a décor show, are uniquely hand crafted and can be pulled and brought closer when you feel like reading in bed. Two leather bedside tables are placed one on each side. At the foot of the bed is a Persian runner, as well as another Persian rug on the side. A sleeper couch is tucked into an alcove, and the TV and mini bar fridge are hidden in an antique oak wardrobe which has a full length mirror on one door.
The bathroom has clean, colour co-ordinated towels. It is fitted with a uniquely shaped bath that is both comfortable and water saving, plus an excellent overhead shower. To escape the winter chill the bathroom has electrically heated towel rails to keep towels warm and fluffy. Hand crafted oak doors with sandblasted rose designed glass panels, as well as glass bricks built into the wall, complete the bathroom.
